Dave's story
Dave Sankey founded DS Swim in 2006 with a clear mission: to make high-quality, personal swimming instruction accessible to everyone, from babies taking their first splashes to elite athletes chasing national and international honours.
A former competitive swimmer who reached Olympic Trials level and held county records, Dave understands the sport from the inside out. He channels that experience into every session, combining technical precision with genuine encouragement.
As a Swim England Level 4 Senior Coach, Dave has held multiple head coach positions and developed swimmers who have gone on to win national & international medals, and even compete at the Olympic Games. His one-to-one Performance Coaching, supported by detailed video analysis, is one of the fastest ways to transform a stroke.
Away from the pool deck, Dave is also a qualified secondary school teacher, and has recently won multiple medals at the British Masters Swimming Championships.
